Advocating for Early Childhood Iowa

Welcome to the Association of Early Childhood Iowa Area Boards and Advocates

Our Association brings together Early Childhood Iowa Area Boards and the advocates that support our work on behalf of young children across the state of Iowa.

Who We Are

Children learning

The earliest years of a child’s life are the most important for brain development. What happens or doesn’t happen in these first years will greatly impact a child’s ability to succeed as an adult. This is why Early Childhood Iowa exists, the future of our state is being formed years before children enter the K-12 system. Learn more by clicking here.

Association advocates meeting with legislators

The Association coordinates the advocacy of the various Area Boards, individuals, and organizations that support our work to ensure law makers make funding and policy decisions informed by both science and the reality on the ground for young children and those that care for them.
